Bed headboards
Do you already own a bed frame, a box spring, any bed base and want to add a headboard? Or are you buying one of our bed bases and want to match a headboard? Below is our selection to complete your master or children's bedroom, with a modern or classic design headboard.
Smooth or quilted upholstered headboard
Upholstered headboards can be smooth, meaning without quilting, or classic quilted headboards typical of Italian tradition, in real capitonné upholstery with the "pulled point" that gives the traditional quilted effect, or made with a faux quilting, which is more economical but in many cases creates a pleasant effect.
Double headboard
Double headboards, queen-size headboards, and single headboards are always slightly wider than the bed base, meaning a bed frame that is 160 cm wide will have a headboard that is 165 cm or 170 cm wide. If you have space problems and are looking for a headboard with minimal bulk, carefully check the features. The heights of headboards are very important; a tall mattress risks hiding or not enhancing a headboard less than a meter high.
Wooden headboards
In Country style, or simple and modern with natural wood, walnut, or white painted finish, made in Italy carpentry products, they add refinement and natural style.
Attaching a headboard to an existing bed
If you already own a bed, matching a headboard might not be straightforward. Wrought iron headboards, for example, are attached to the wall with commercially available brackets; wooden and upholstered ones can be attached to both the bed and the wall, but require expert intervention.
We have an upholstered headboard that can be applied to the wall, self-supporting and easy to fix. Some of our customers have preferred not to fix it, resting it on the floor, holding it in place by pressure with the bed.
Headboard or "testiera"?
Curiosity: how do you say it? They are the same thing but the second is more correct, because a bed with a headboard ("testiera") often comes with a footboard, and if we called it "testata" (meaning "head" in Italian), it would need to be completed by a "pedata" (meaning "foot" in Italian). That wouldn't be nice.
