Children's bedrooms
Is there anything more complicated than choosing a mattress? Perhaps only choosing a children's bedroom, because there are various possibilities for space-saving, functionality, and colors to satisfy our children's tastes.
Types of children's bedrooms
Loft bedrooms;
Bridge bedrooms;
Bunk bed bedrooms;
Bedrooms with pull-out trundle beds.
Loft bedroom
The loft bedroom saves space by literally raising the mattress by at least 140 cm to place a desk, a wardrobe or walk-in closet, or a second bed (or double bed, for a total of three beds in the same bedroom) underneath. This system certainly addresses space needs, but even those with space find this solution the best, because it allows them to utilize height, saving space for play.
Loft bedroom dimensions
The loft platform for the bedroom is at least the size of a single bed, generally 190 cm in length plus a few cm for the supporting structure. In many cases, instead of structural beams, we find bookshelves and wardrobes at the ends, making the loft at least 280 cm wide. The depth varies from 85 cm to 95 cm depending on the model or bed size.
Bridge bedroom
Unlike the loft, where the bed is on the upper part, in a bridge bedroom, the bed, or double bed, is located under the bridge wardrobe. The bridge wardrobe in the bedroom allows you to place both the wardrobe and beds on the same wall.
Bridge bedroom dimensions
The bridge wardrobe measures at least 290 cm if the beds below are positioned horizontally; it could be narrower if the bed is placed with the head part under the wardrobe. The depth of the wardrobe is 60 cm.

Bunk bed for children's bedroom
The bunk bed is a classic solution that has found new life in Colombini's design in recent years, with innovative supporting structures finding the right mix with loft beds, with versatile structures in pastel colors and opaque lacquers.
Pull-out bed
The pull-out bed allows for the inclusion of a second and sometimes third bed for guests or for large families.
