Features of the storage bed base slats

Bed base with 14 multi-layer beech slats: slat width 70 mm, gap between slats 53 mm, slat thickness 6 mm. These features also make it suitable for pocket spring mattresses, which is why Miglior Materasso recommends it.

Pistons and bed base lifting mechanism

You can use your existing mechanism and pistons; if you would rather replace them, bear in mind that while replacing the bed base is simple, replacing the mechanisms of an existing bed requires some practical skill.

Reinforced storage bed base with holes positioned on request

Our storage bed base can be ordered without holes, for those who prefer to drill them themselves on site, or with 2 or 3 holes for fitting to the bed, in which case you will need to send us the measurements. The hole positions must be given in the dedicated box, where you can type free text, or by email after purchase. Here is how to measure the holes on the storage bed base you are replacing (see here). Contact us for any information.

NB: bed bases usually have rounded corners, so to take the measurement you will need to place a batten, a ruler or whatever you find most suitable to create a right angle to measure from.

CUSTOM SPECIAL SIZES if you need a special bed base, i.e. with measurements to the centimetre that are not among those offered, proceed as follows: select custom "length" and "width" from the drop-down menu; then, as you continue with the order, you will be asked for additional information (such as invoicing details, etc.), and in that field you can also enter the width and length. Example: Width 158 cm Length 199 cm. You can also write to us after placing the order. Contact us for any requirements.

Included: the mattress retainer at the head end (to stop the mattress sliding back when the bed base is lifted) and the handle for lifting the bed base, a soft handle at the foot of the bed base, hidden under the mattress.

The bed base can be bought without the lifting kit (gas pistons and arms), available on the page Optional side lifting linkage kit for bed bases, with the standard kit, i.e. to lift the storage bed base at an angle, or with Easy Up lifting, which allows the bed base to be raised horizontally, a position that mainly makes bed-making easier.
