Multi-slat bed base

Saf is the multi-slat bed base, meaning it has a large number of slats: as many as 19, with a depth of 69 mm. A double, king size or French double bed base made entirely of wood, with a double beam under the slats in the double and French double versions (140 cm wide) and a single beam in the small double, with anti-noise polyethylene slat housings. The single version does not need central beams.

The perfect number of slats

The minimum number of slats is 14, with a depth of 69 mm, to give a standard mattress adequate support, while 19 is the perfect number for pocket spring and micro-spring mattresses, because it reduces the empty space between the slats to less than 3 cm, just 29 mm, so the independent springs find no gaps: the result is as if the mattress were resting on a solid wooden platform (a wooden board) or on the floor.

200x220 cm super king size bed base

The frame and legs can be requested in white or black instead of the classic natural beech colour. These painted versions carry a price difference.

Wooden legs

Supplied as standard with 4 conical legs, 28 cm high (to be added to the 7 cm height of the frame), in natural beech colour, which you can request made to measure. The designer leg is available as an extra (it cannot be made to measure).
