Wooden bed base with flexible slats
An ideal support for pocket spring and independent micro-spring mattresses and for foam mattresses such as memory foam or latex, thanks to the flexibility of the slats, which follow the movements of the body and the mattress.
A bed base with solid wood slats can often be too firm, so if you are looking for a sturdy solid wood bed base while keeping the best-performing sleep system, the bed base with 14 flexible slats in beech plywood is preferable to one with solid wood slats. So this bed base does not sag, but it is flexible in the sleeping area.
The double is supplied with 6 solid wood legs, easy to fit.
Solid Swedish pine
The double version has a "double span", i.e. the flexible slats are set into the central beam. The curved slats and the 8 cm thick central beam prevent any unevenness or pressure points from forming in the middle of the mattress, which would damage it over time.
Sizes
Double, single and small double, various sizes in steps of 5 or 10 cm: choose them from the drop-down menu.
Height
The sleeping surface of modern bed bases is 35 cm high, so the legs are 30 cm high. If you would like legs of a different size, contact us.
Delivery: the bed bases leave the factory fully assembled. Because of the special dovetail joint they cannot be dismantled, so they travel in one piece, packed in triple-wall cardboard and polystyrene the size of the bed base, except for the removable feet, which are delivered unassembled and only need screwing on.
Solid wood bed base that splits in two for tight spaces
If you are ordering a double for an attic or an understairs space, or you have a narrow passage, you can request it split into 2 parts with a "quick-fit joint", a comb joint that lets you slot the two parts together to form a stable, solid double once assembled; alternatively, you can simply buy 2 singles to place side by side.

Matching headboards
The available colours are natural wood, painted wood in cherry, walnut, wenge etc., and white. White is available in pastel, i.e. with a light coat of paint that lets the wood grain show through, and in opaque lacquered white.
You can also choose a lacquered finish in any colour. Send us the RAL code and it will be made to order.
