How many springs should a spring mattress have?
A double mattress with pocket springs must have 800 springs, a higher number is not decisive for a better mattress, the number of springs is less important than the quality of the spring and the mattress as a whole. The mattress with Bonnel springs, i.e. traditional, must have 400 in the double, the spring or rather the wire of the spiral, must have a thickness of 3.5 mm if you are looking for maximum rigidity.
Is a mattress with more springs more rigid? No, the rigidity of the mattress is not determined by the number of springs, in fact, mattresses with micro springs, for example, such as 1600 or 3000 springs, are more comfortable.
Difference between standard spring mattress and pocketed coil mattress
The independent springing means that each spring is free to adapt according to the pressure generated by our body lying on the mattress, so it adapts, unlike the traditional spring mattress, which is more linear and less performing.
Do spring mattresses bounce? That is, are they too cushioned? No, that is a typical characteristic of traditional spring mattresses: the bounce and the noise, as well as that annoying transfer of movement to the partner when you move during rest.
Firmness of Spring Mattresses
Let's debunk some myths about springs. Considering spring mattresses to be firmer than others just because they have springs is wrong. These mattresses are designed to be more high-performing, thus more adaptable. There are firm versions, but they are not inherently firm by default;

More springs mean more firmness, fewer springs mean less firmness—is that true?
It's exactly the opposite. With 1600 springs, you can expect more comfort, not more firmness, compared to 800 springs. More springs increase the mattress's adaptability and comfort;
How tall should a pocket spring mattress be?
Pocket spring mattresses range in height from 22 to 30 cm (and beyond), averaging 25 cm. They have multiple layers, requiring greater thickness. We do not recommend mattresses less than 24 cm thick;
Heat and breathability
A pocket spring mattress is always cooler, provided it doesn't have memory foam: not always. Excessive heat is caused by poor-quality materials that don't breathe well, regardless of the presence of memory foam.
