Wool mattress orthopedic spring

Traditional comfort with firm support

Carded wool is arranged in layers above the spring unit to provide a natural, breathable and pleasantly cushioned surface. The overall comfort remains firm, with limited sinking and a stable feeling of support.

The opposite side features cotton padding for warmer periods of the year. The two-sided construction allows the sleeping surfaces to be alternated seasonally and encourages regular mattress maintenance.

Why choose the Extralusso mattress?

Cotton-rich cover The mattress cover is made from 80% cotton and 20% polyester, providing a pleasant feel together with good resistance to everyday use.
Winter wool side and summer cotton side Wool helps absorb and release moisture while supporting a balanced sleeping climate. The opposite side contains cotton padding for a fresher surface during warmer periods.
Firmness rating: 8.5 out of 10 A firm, stable and minimally enveloping comfort. Recommended for customers looking for a genuinely hard mattress rather than a medium-firm surface.
Bonnell springs with 2.2 mm wire The interconnected biconical springs distribute weight across the mattress and provide stable support. A standard double mattress contains approximately 400 springs, increasing to approximately 600 in king-size configurations.
Reinforced perimeter The reinforced perimeter protects the spring unit, supports the edges and reduces excessive compression when sitting on the side of the mattress.
Suitable for heavier body weights The firm construction may be suitable for people weighing approximately 100–120 kg per person, equivalent to around 220–265 lb. For higher body weights, please contact us before ordering.
Breathable and free from biocide treatments The open spring unit and fibre padding encourage airflow. The mattress is not treated with chemical biocides. Customers with a severe dust-mite allergy should use a certified protective mattress cover.
