The standard 16 cm version offers the traditional comfort and support of a wool mattress. The 20 cm version contains more wool and features reinforced double edging for greater height and improved shape retention.

The wool is distributed by hand inside the cotton cover and secured using traditional tufting. This construction keeps the filling in position while allowing the mattress to be opened and professionally restored when necessary.

Frequently asked questions
Can dust mites live in a wool mattress?
A wool mattress is not automatically dust-mite proof. Dust mites live in household dust and may also be found in other mattresses, sofas and curtains. Regular airing, cleaning and the use of a protective mattress cover help maintain good hygiene.
Is a wool mattress too warm?
Wool is naturally thermoregulating. It retains warmth when required but also absorbs and releases moisture and excess heat. Individual temperature perception may vary.
How often should a traditional wool mattress be restored?
There is no fixed interval. It depends on use, humidity, body weight and the natural compression of the wool. Restoration should be considered when the filling becomes uneven or the mattress no longer provides the original comfort.
Can an old wool mattress be restored?
Yes. Depending on the condition of the wool and cover, the mattress can be opened, cleaned, carded and remade. Contact us with the dimensions and photographs of the mattress to request an individual quotation.
