Three-layer construction and progressive support
Each layer performs a specific function:
- Air System, 5 cm: an advanced open-cell foam with a three-dimensional macrocellular structure, designed to improve airflow and provide controlled surface elasticity.
- Memory VE 40, 4 cm: a viscoelastic layer that gradually adapts to the body and distributes pressure without making the mattress excessively soft.
- Supporting base, 14 cm: high-density flame-retardant polyurethane foam, 50 kg/m³, providing the main support and greater resistance to compression.
The contoured shoulder section provides greater accommodation around the shoulder area, particularly for side sleepers. The high-density lower base maintains the firm support required by larger body types.
Support calibrated according to body weight
As body weight increases, the different mattress layers are progressively engaged. The upper surface provides initial comfort, the memory foam distributes the load and the high-density base limits excessive sinking while maintaining a stable sleeping surface.
Mattress for people weighing over 110 kg
Kilimangiaro Max is particularly suitable for people weighing over 110 kg who need a highly supportive mattress with good stability and resistance to compression.
The mattress can be configured for very high body weights, including users weighing up to 250 kg. For body weights above 150 kg, please contact us before ordering. Mattress size, weight distribution, sleeping position and the characteristics of the bed base should be evaluated together.
H5 firmness: highly supportive without feeling like a board
The H5 rating mainly refers to the supporting base. The upper Air System and memory foam layers provide more progressive surface comfort without reducing the support required by heavier users.

Can someone weighing less than 90 kg use this mattress?
Yes, although it would not normally be the first choice for a lighter person. Below 90 kg, the mattress will feel particularly firm because the body mainly engages the upper comfort layers without significantly compressing the supporting base.
It can still be suitable for someone specifically looking for a very firm sleeping surface. Customers who prefer medium or soft comfort should consider a different model.
Removable cashmere cover
The stretch jersey cover contains 3% cashmere and 30% cotton, with the remaining composition consisting of polyester and elastane. It is completed by hollow-fibre padding and a padded, breathable side panel.
The cover is fully removable using the zip positioned underneath the upper pad. Always follow the washing instructions shown on the product care label.
CE-marked anti-decubitus medical device
Kilimangiaro Max is configured as a CE-marked anti-decubitus medical device. This classification describes the declared technical characteristics of the product and does not represent an automatic guarantee that pressure injuries will be prevented or treated.
In cases of severe obesity, reduced mobility, risk of pressure injuries or specific medical requirements, the mattress should be selected with the support of a qualified healthcare professional.
Recommended bed base
The mattress can be used on a strong slatted base, a firm upholstered bed base or an adjustable electric bed base with an adequate weight capacity.
A metal mesh base is not the preferred option. For heavier users, the bed base must be undamaged, stable, correctly sized and certified for the combined weight of the user and mattress.
Mattress care
Rotate the mattress from head to foot at least once every two months. Use the handles only to position the mattress.
The mattress can occasionally be turned over, but its main sleeping side is the Air System and memory foam side, identified by the label at the foot of the mattress.
Delivery
The mattress is delivered full size and is not vacuum-packed or rolled. It is internally protected and securely packaged for transport. Delivery methods and times depend on the destination and selected service.
