Three pillow aspects to consider:

Height, Firmness and Level of Comfort

What is the average pillow height?

Average pillow height? Adult pillows range from 6 to 20 cm. By convention, the standard pillow height is between 12 and 13 cm. This height allows comfortable sleeping both on the side and on the back, and less so on the stomach, making it a medium-height pillow suitable for many people. Pillow support can be medium or firm, usually classified as Medium (or Soft, ergonomic) and Firm (or supportive). Medium support is recommended in most cases, both for memory foam and traditional latex pillows, whether classic rectangular or contoured.

Cervical pillow height

The recommended cervical pillow height is around 11 cm for back sleepers. For side sleepers, it increases to about 13 cm, and only exceeds this for larger body types, never more than 15 cm in any case.

Miglior Materasso recommends:

How can I tell which pillow height is right for me?

If you feel your pillow is not the right height, try placing a folded soft towel underneath it. This helps you understand whether extra height improves comfort or makes it worse, giving you a useful indication of what to look for.
